Romson Bustillo


Seattle artist Romson Bustillo has created his bold, expressive pieces for distinguished clients such as the Seattle Art Commission, Pratt Fine Arts Center, Wing Luke Asian Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, The Bertchi School, City of Seattle and Coyote Jr. High.

He has held artist-in-residence and art instructor positions at a number of cultural institutions around the Puget Sound region, among them the Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Asian Art Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, James Washington Jr. Foundation, Pratt Fine Arts Center and Wing Luke Asian Museum.

Bustillo has received numerous public and private commissions; his murals, paintings and mixed-media pieces adorn the Asian Counseling and Referral Services, Quest Stadium, Seattle Seed Program and several private residences.

Bustillo studied visual arts at Seattle Central Community College and printmaking at Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, Washington. He has received the 1996 Seattle Art Commission Award of Excellence, 1995 Washington State Department of Transportation, METRO Arts Program Grant, and GAP Grants from Artist Trust in 1994 and 1999.
